How do you tighten hydraulic nuts?
Close the venting plug and pressurize up to the specified pressure for tightening the nut. Turn the nut to be screwed firmly by a pin manually through the hole of the support. Release the hydraulic pressure by opening the release valve of the hydraulic pump. Repeat pressurizing and check the nut loosened.
A hydraulic bolt tensioning tool provides a quick and easy method for tightening large diameter bolts to high and accurate pre-loads. Unlike conventional methods it does not use torque and does not require any forceful turning of the nut or bolt, like impact wrenches, flogging spanners or hydraulic torque wrenches.
